Resilience, Pediatric Psychology, & Neurogenetic Connections Lab
The purpose of the Connections Lab is to improve the quality of clinical research in order to advance the mental health and educational performance of schoolchildren at risk for school failure. Clinical research is advanced through evidence-based practices, implementation science, credible program evaluation, and continuous improvement of interventions. Nearly all of our research takes place in schools around the world. Our approach is to develop collaborative relationships with teachers, psychologists, and other educational professionals as community of learners and teachers to make research findings useful, robust, credible, resource efficient, transparent, and context-sensitive. Currently, our work involves testing, improving, and applying the Open Source Analogy Model (OSAM) of implementation, a novel approach to clinical intervention, implementation, research, and theory building.
